Former Northampton Saints and England captain, rugby superstar Dylan Hartley, will set foot in Dubai and call it home for his family.

Access Hire Middle East, one of UAE’s leading privately owned equipment rental companies recruited the retired champ in a senior business development director position.

Access Hire established its Middle East branch in 2018 and occupied their Dubai yard with a brand – new fleet of equipment. They have since then, become one of the key equipment suppliers across all industries including construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, events, FM, industrial (Pipelines, Power & Utilities) and has been expanding their coverage of supply into the Oil & Gas industry with branches in Abu Dhabi, Ruwais and Saudi Arabia, which will be a totally new playground for the England Skipper.

This is not the first time for the former captain to move across the world to start a career. Back when he was 15, Dylan moved from New Zealand to the UK to pursue his goal of playing in the premier rugby league. Only this time, he will be moving with his young family.

Hartley has long been interested to move to the city. As he used to come to Dubai for short stays during breaks from his sporting career.

Access Hire Middle East is ecstatic for the onboarding of their new team member. Dylan, a natural born leader, and a go-getter will bring his A-game to the rental business and contribute to the continued success of the company.

Besides taking on a new role at business, the former captain has also been appointed as the new director of Dubai Sharks, a second-tier UAE club with Access Hire Middle East as one of its major sponsors.

The rental company has been supporting the club since 2018 and loaned them 8 Globe Power Mobile Solar Lighting Towers, so they could play in the evening at their home ground at Dubai Polo Club last season. This link between Access Hire and Dubai Sharks has now been strengthened by the appointment of Hartley in his new roles.
