Yokohama's New Galaxy MFS 101 SDS

Forklift are indispensable in material handling and all kinds of industrial operations such as lifting and conveying. Therefore, the tires of these machines deserve special attention. With the new Galaxy MFS 101 SDS, Yokohama Off-Highway Tires introduces a new solid tire, developed for the most demanding industrial and warehousing operations. The Galaxy MFS 101 SDS is especially designed for the modern needs of indoor and outdoor operations. It is an ideal choice for electric and diesel forklifts where high driving comfort and long service life are expected.

A contemporary and innovative design, complemented with a 3-stage construction assists Galaxy MFS 101 SDS in ensuring minimal vibrations and heat build-up along with better cushioning, steering ability and stability. This ensures smooth operations on different types of industrial, paved and asphalt surfaces. Furthermore, more wearable rubber in terms of higher tread depth and 60J values ensure longer service lifetime. They also come with a 5-year warranty.

Excellent performance for various reasons
Developed for intensive 3-shift operations, Galaxy MFS101 SDS is a premium 3 stage product. It includes a tread compound with excellent wear and cut-chip resistance properties. The top layer provides the tire with an optimum lifespan. The soft centre cushion layer assists in minimising vibrations, thus providing comfort for the operator. The base compound layer ensures maximum stability and allows for an efficient load transfer to the rims of the forklift. The anti-slip steel beads ensure better rim fitment, eliminating wheel slip.

The pattern is characterised by an innovative design with a continuous centre and optimised lugs at the shoulders. This leads to low vibrations and high driving comfort for operators engaging in long working hours. The circumferential grooves provide improved steering ability whilst the longer grooves ensure better traction.

The wide flat profile of the Galaxy MFS 101 SDS along with uniform internal layers lead to good load distribution and even wear thus ensuring high machine stability during critical lifting and cornering operations.

Broad range of sizes with both quick and standard heel fitment

Galaxy MFS 101 SDS tires offer top performance in driving comfort, ground stability and tire life. They come in both Quick Heel/Lip type (QH) and Standard Heel (SH) type fitments, with various rim combinations covering almost every need. Whilst 31 SKUs in 18 sizes of this new tire are already available in QH and/or SH versions, another 11 sizes are currently under development and are expected to be released by the third quarter of 2023.
