JCB’s Teleskid – Combined Power

The all new JCB Teleskid is the first skid steer or compact tracked loader with a telescopic boom, making it an extremely versatile and robust machine. The new JCB Teleskid combines the capabilities of a forklift, a telescopic handler, a compact loader, and a skid steer loader all into one machine.

JCB’s innovation has led to the development of the new Teleskid, the only skid steer or compact tracked loader with a telescopic boom. The machine combines the components from the company’s range of machines to create a truly unique product.

With a vertical reach of over 4 metres and a forward reach of 2.5 metres the JCB Teleskid can reach higher, further, and deeper than any other skid steer on the market allowing it to access areas you wouldn’t have thought possible in a traditional skid steer.

It is a combination of a telehandler and a skid steer loader, so it offers the compact versatility of both machines along with the manoeuvrability of a skid steer loader. This level of versatility enables users to optimise their operations with just one machine. Operators can reach out and grab trees and branches or dig below ground for up to 900 millimetres, which is an entirely unique aspect of this product.

The JCB Teleskid is a great option for the conventional constructional market, but there are also so many other applications the machine can be used for. The lift capabilities of the Teleskid provide a range of benefits for users. Operators can easily load high sided truck bodies without needing a ramp, or over the top of structures, such as fencing. This is the Teleskid’s lift capacity of 1676 kilograms with the boom retracted – or 732 kilograms with the boom fully extended. It is also aided by the cabin design of the machine where operators can enjoy 60 per cent better visibility than with twin-arm machines.

Another unique feature of the JCB Teleskid is the introduction of the side door cabin access. Along with the JCB’s Skid Steer range the Teleskid is the only product which offers the operator entry and exit through a side door for added safety. By having the side access door, it alleviated, if not eliminates risk of serious injury by transiting under or over the loader frame. The side door allows operators to enter and exit the machine without contacting any of the attachments or lifted materials. Users can also exit the cabin and review the placement of a load, while the boom is raised to mid-height.

The JCB Teleskid offers 270 degrees of visibility from within the cabin thanks to its large front windshield, this can easily be removed for a quick exit in case of an emergency. While the recessed rear door gives increased protection from damage. Its side door entry ensures there’s no clambering over a loaded bucket or a bulky attachment to get into the machine.

The Teleskid comes in wheeled and tracked configurations and is available to order now through your local JCB CEA dealer.
