BAMAG In Switzerland Becomes A New Hyundai Materials Handling Dealer

BAMAG MaschinenAG, based in Regensdorf near Zurich, has officially become a new dealership for Hyundai Material Handling equipment in Switzerland.

The company, which specialises in capital equipment, already stocks Hyundai’s complete line of construction equipment and has now expanded its portfolio to include the Hyundai Materials Handling range.

A perfect Partnership: We were looking for a new partner for warehouse equipment including battery and diesel forklifts. As we’ve worked with Hyundai for many years and know them to be a reliable and innovative partner for construction equipment, it made perfect sense to take on this dealership and the materials handling line too.” BAMAG Maschinen AG Managing Director, Ruedi Meier.

Hyundai Material Handling products include:

  • Diesel forklift trucks with load capacities ranging from 2,500 to 30,000kg
  • Petrol forklift trucks with load capacities ranging from 1,500 to 5,000kg
  • Battery forklift trucks with load capacities ranging from 1,500 to 5,000kg
  • Warehouse equipment

Materials in Switzerland, handled

Following this acquisition, BAMAG will supply warehouse equipment and forklift trucks primarily to construction and transport firms, builders merchants, sawmills and production plants across Switzerland.

I’m actually a specialist in forklift trucks and can judge a thing or two about structural steelwork, hydraulic systems and electronics – that makes us a perfect fit with Hyundai. Their machinery is rugged and intelligently designed and constructed, so it’s well suited for leasing for operation in harsh environments. We have been gradually acquiring various battery and diesel forklift stock since the Autumn to get ahead of the longer lead times that the industry is currently experiencing, to ensure we were ready to deliver our complete line of equipment as of the start of 2023. – Maschinen AG Managing Director, Ruedi Meier.

Expanding horizons

Chris Thompson, who heads up the forklift truck division at Hyundai Heavy Industries, said: I, too, am delighted that we have brought BAMAG on board as our long-term sales partner in Switzerland. Both partners have known each other for years – so we can hit the ground running. We are currently training BAMAG’s service technicians and ensuring that the dealership is fully stocked and ready to go. There is a huge demand for these products in Switzerland and we are now able to meet that demand thanks to this new partnership.
