The $63.2 billion Diriyah project, which will be built on the outskirts of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will include two high-profile developments: Qurain Cultural District and Northern District. Details of these developments were revealed by Diriyah Company, a mixed-use developer in Saudi Arabia.
There will be two hotels and branded residences in the Qurain Cultural District: the Ritz-Carlton Diriyah, which has 195 rooms and 165 residences, and the Address Diriyah, which has 204 rooms and 60 serviced apartments. Additionally, there will be 19 mixed-use buildings in the district, comprising homes, shops, and offices.
A joint venture between Nesma & Partners Contracting Company and MAN Enterprise Al Saudia was given a $1.55 billion contract to create the Qurain Cultural District.
The Northern District will have a public plaza, a university, a library, museums, and the King Salman Foundation. The Capella Diriyah, a 100-room opulent hotel that represents Capella Hotels and Resorts’ historic debut in the Middle East, will also be located in the new district.
The Northern District is now under construction after a $2 billion joint venture agreement between China State Construction Engineering Co-operation (CSCEC) and El Seif Engineering Contracting Company was announced.
