Caterpillar Unveils Cat 775 Off-Highway Truck with Future Autonomous Capabilities

Caterpillar has introduced the new Cat 775 off-highway truck, marking the company’s first next-generation model in its off-highway truck lineup. Designed to carry a 65-tonne payload, the new Cat 775 sets the stage for future fully autonomous operations, distinguishing it from previous 775 series models.

Leveraging its proven Autonomous Hauling Systems (AHS) through Cat MineStar™ Command for hauling, Caterpillar is actively expanding its autonomous technology to meet the specific needs of quarry operations. This next-generation truck is scheduled for release in 2026, with a specific launch date to be announced.

Powered by an 825-horsepower Cat C27 engine, the new Cat 775 is offered in multiple emissions configurations to comply with various global standards. The U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final/Stage V model, showcased at bauma, features advanced electronic powertrain controls for faster cycle times, reduced road maintenance, and improved fuel efficiency over previous models.
