Su Zimeng noted that since 2025, the construction machinery industry has fully implemented the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee, with a clearer grasp of development trends and a proactive response to changes in both domestic and international markets. With a pragmatic and enterprising approach, the industry has achieved a number of technological innovations, continued to advance the upgrading of industrial foundations and the modernization of industrial chains, accelerated its pace of internationalization, and steadily promoted high-quality development. He also reviewed and analyzed the industry’s performance since 2025 from five key perspectives.
In his speech, Su Zimeng stated that although the external environment has become increasingly challenging and the international landscape remains complex and severe, the intensified macroeconomic policy measures and the combined effects of various supportive policies are expected to further consolidate the positive factors sustaining the stable operation and high-quality development of the industry. As the technologies, products, and services of China’s construction machinery sector gain broader recognition and acceptance from international users, and as enterprises continue to improve and upgrade their global business presence, the industry’s total exports are expected to remain at a high level this year. Overall, it is projected that in 2025, China’s construction machinery industry will maintain a stable and positive growth trend, with key economic indicators showing steady increases and foreign trade remaining generally stable.
Regarding the industry’s key priorities, Su Zimeng outlined several major areas of focus for 2025: fully implementing the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee while better understanding the direction of industry development with a pragmatic and proactive mindset; promoting high-quality internationalization; addressing excessive and disorderly competition to foster a healthy development ecosystem; actively leveraging artificial intelligence to empower high-quality industry growth; building on current momentum to successfully achieve the construction machinery industry’s goals under the 14th Five-Year Plan; and uniting efforts to organize a high-quality edition of the Beijing BICES Construction Machinery Exhibition.
Su Zimeng emphasized that BICES 2025 will comprehensively showcase the latest achievements of the construction machinery industry and present equipment and solutions tailored for a wider range of application scenarios. The exhibition will fully reflect the industry’s progress during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and is expected to attract a growing number of domestic and international users and visitors for on-site exchanges and cooperation.

Wu Peiguo provided a detailed overview of the organization and preparations for BICES 2025, focusing on five key areas: exhibitor recruitment and thematic/featured zones, professional and international visitor organization, concurrent conferences and events, domestic and international promotion, and on-site operations.
He noted that, as of now, the number of registered exhibitors has increased by more than 10% year-on-year. In particular, there has been a rapid rise in new exhibitors across high-end, intelligent, and green segments of the industrial and supply chains. The total exhibition area is expected to exceed 150,000 square meters. Preparations for the four major thematic halls and thirteen featured zones are progressing smoothly and will showcase a wide array of innovations achieved during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, especially those from the past two years.
In addition, over 100 high-quality concurrent conferences and events have been confirmed. Efforts to organize domestic and international user groups and professional visitors are well underway, and the event is expected to attract around 10,000 overseas professional visitors. Approximately 200 media outlets from both China and abroad will provide comprehensive and in-depth coverage of the exhibition. On-site operations will be upgraded across nine major areas to ensure a better experience.
To further meet the needs of exhibitors and attendees, the daily exhibition hours for this edition will be extended to 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, offering a more convenient, efficient, and comfortable environment for all participants.
Wu Peiguo stated that the organizers will meticulously plan and prepare, fully leveraging BICES’s five major advantages to deliver a grand event for the global construction machinery industry. He sincerely invited and warmly welcomed friends from the worldwide construction machinery sector to gather in Beijing, jointly celebrate the event, personally experience the latest technologies in the industry, gain insights into development trends, promote deeper integration of the global supply and industrial chains, and drive high-quality development across the sector.
