Kögel will be presenting trailers from its current product portfolio such as the Kögel Euro Trailer NOVUM and Euro Trailer NOVUM Box at this year’s LETExpo in Verona, Italy, from 16 to 19 March. In line with the trade fair motto “Let’s be sustainable”, Kögel will be demonstrating the Kögel e-Cool with TRAKr recuperation axle from SAF-Holland to the public for the first time as a special highlight.
Kögel’s attendance is entirely in keeping with this guiding principle, as well as the company’s claim: “Economy meets Ecology – Because we care”: economy, sustainability and responsible consumption of natural resources are issues that are not only important to Kögel, but the entire transport and logistics world. The combination of these fundamental values forms the basis for Kögel’s modern, business-savvy approach, and is reflected both in the company and its product portfolio. Transport solutions from Kögel for climate-friendly transport
The European logistics industry is facing major challenges, one of which is how pollutant and CO2 emissions can be avoided in road freight transport. Kögel helps customers to meet these requirements with its innovative transport solutions. Together with SAF-Holland, Kögel has now produced a Kögel Cool – PurFerro quality series refrigerated trailer with a fully-electric cooling device, not only decreasing diesel fuel consumption and therefore CO2 and pollutant emissions, but also reducing noise emissions and operating costs. The Kögel e-Cool is electrified by the TRAKr recuperation axle from SAF-HOLLAND. An electric generator in the SAF TRAKr trailer axle converts kinetic energy during travel, for example, in the towing vehicle’s overrun phases, and buffers it as electric current in a battery on the trailer. The electric current is then used to operate the refrigeration unit.
Kögel Euro Trailer NOVUM and Euro Trailer NOVUM Box offer maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Kögel is showing both the new Euro Trailer of the NOVUM generation and the Euro Trailer Box variant with box body at LETExpo. The vehicles combine the strengths of the Euro Trailer concept with the advantages of a box trailer, namely additional loading volume and a proven 10% reduction in CO2 emissions. The dry freight box body provides high-quality transport and protection against environmental influences. The trailer can also be individually adapted to customer requirements with a wide range of equipment options.
