JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating working platforms and telehandlers, is hosting a unique hybrid event from 9 to 20 May 2022. Key distributors and their customers from Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, will be welcomed to the New Perspective at its UK location in Leicester, while a virtual event will run simultaneously for those unable to attend.
An impressive bespoke entry has been created for guests of the live event, leading to an immersive video experience. Following this introduction, they will have the opportunity to see a range of new equipment, hear about the latest developments through keynote presentations and interactive workshops, and discuss trends and requirements with JLG product managers and engineers.
Factory tours will be available each morning, including a live feed from the paint line. In addition, the low-level access demo area will have a specially built platform to enable visitors to view machines from an elevated position. A dedicated electrification area will display sustainable solutions, including the DaVinci all-electric electric scissor lift and the electric engine conversion kit.
Guests will also see several new models on display outside, including the X22JP compact crawler boom, the 860SJ HC3 boom lift, the EC450AJ, the DSP series of stock pickers, Toucan models, and the ERT and RT scissors. One highlight of the outdoor demonstration area will be the award-winning 670SJ self-levelling boom, showcasing its ability to work on slopes up to ten degrees in any direction. In the evenings, the facility’s Innovation Centre will be converted into a restaurant and bar, with live music and games for entertainment.
The New Perspective event is part of JLG’s move towards smaller, localised in-person events. “Our impressive Leicester facility opened two years ago” said Karel Huijser, JLG general manager and vice president for EMEAIR. We were extremely proud to showcase the facility to distributors in March and are looking forward to seeing them with customers onsite or virtually during the New Perspective event.
The virtual event will be customised for those unable to attend. Users will explore products through AR functionality and engaging videos with the ability to ask questions via live chat. Brochures, posters and spec sheets will be available to download, and customers will be able to sign up for product demonstrations or schedule drop-in sessions in virtual meeting rooms with key JLG staff. Customer care is also a key focus, with servicing, maintenance, warranty and digital solutions to be showcased.
