BICES 2025 Networking Reception Successfully Held In Munich

The Networking Reception for the China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines and Mining Machines Exhibition (BICES 2025) took place at the Munich Exhibition Center. The event brought together senior representatives from the BICES organizing committee, exhibiting companies, international partner associations, and members of the domestic and international media.

Among the attendees were Su Zimeng, President of the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA); Zhou Wedong, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Machinery Sub-Council (CCPIT-MSC); Lou Zhigang of China Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (CNCMC); Wu Peiguo, Secretary General of CCMA and Chairman of Beijing Asiamachine International Convention & Exhibition Ltd.; and other senior officials from the organizing bodies.

Industry Overview and 2024 Performance

In his remarks, Su Zimeng reviewed the performance of China’s construction machinery industry in 2024, noting a stable trajectory amid shifting domestic and international conditions. He outlined five key observations:

  • Major economic indicators among core member enterprises maintained steady performance.
  • Construction machinery exports continued to grow from an already elevated base.
  • Sales across 12 major equipment categories showed signs of stabilizing.
  • Industry sentiment and confidence in development showed improvement.
  • Integration of technological and industrial innovation deepened, supporting the transition toward high-end, intelligent, and green development.

Su also provided an early outlook for 2025, citing strong performance in the first quarter and positive momentum driven by policy measures and macroeconomic factors. He projected continued stable growth, improved operating conditions, and sustained export activity.

BICES 2025 Preparations and Developments

Wu Peiguo delivered an update on the preparations for BICES 2025. According to Wu, the number of confirmed exhibitors and total exhibition space had surpassed figures from the same period of the previous edition. The 2025 show was expected to feature broader participation from companies across the complete construction equipment value chain, with larger booth allocations and a return of several key exhibitors.

Additional highlights included:

  • A significant increase in new technologies, products, services, and solutions aligned with the show’s theme, “High-End, Green, and Smart Future.”
  • Over 100 supporting conferences and technical events scheduled alongside the main exhibition.
  • Ongoing efforts to boost both domestic and international visitor engagement, with international participation anticipated to rise.

To support overseas visitors, organizers introduced a revamped English-language website and launched the BICES 2025 International Visitor Pre-Registration System. A dedicated guide covering visas, travel, accommodation, and payment systems was also made available.

Emphasis on Global Industry Cooperation

In his speech, Lou Zhigang emphasized BICES’s dual role as a platform for showcasing industry innovation and facilitating international cooperation. He noted the exhibition’s more than three-decade history and its position as a driver of technological progress and global trade in the construction machinery sector. He stated that CNCMC would continue to provide integrated exhibition and commercial services to enhance the experience for exhibitors and attendees.

The reception in Munich reflected both confidence in the current performance of China’s construction machinery industry and the strategic importance of BICES 2025. With preparations well underway, the exhibition was positioned to serve as a high-level platform for industry engagement, innovation exchange, and cross-border collaboration when it returns to Beijing in autumn 2025.
