  • Project Qatar 2023 is expected to welcome over 500 exhibitors and will feature new product zones and programs to cater to the evolving needs of the Qatari market
  • Qatar’s construction industry is predicted to grow by 2.3%this year and an average of 3.6% between 2023 and 2026

Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of The State of Qatar, IFP Qatar announced that the 19th edition of Project Qatar will be taking place from May 29th to June 1st, 2023, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).

The International Trade Exhibition for Construction Material, Equipment, and Technology will welcome leading brands from around the world and connect industry professionals with Qatar’s top decision-makers, paving way for strategic alliances and agreements. The exhibition meets all the standards for providing effective access to the lucrative construction market of the country. The platform will also provide the opportunity for companies to generate new business leads and build partnerships, making Project Qatar 2023 an ideal forum for business growth.

Haidar Mshaimesh, General Manager of IFP Qatar, said: “The opportunities in the construction market continue to attract stakeholders from all over the world, and Project Qatar is positioned to offer an ideal platform to connect and network, both during and after the event, in order to ensure long-term growth and partnerships.”

“The expansion of Qatar’s construction market has been fuelled by foreign direct investments and government stimulus packages under the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030, which is the government’s strategic development roadmap. Through the framework, Qatar aims at becoming a self-sustaining and diversified economy that doesn’t heavily rely on oil,” he added.

Mshaimesh continued: “We are confident that the exhibition will encourage industry participants to strengthen their efforts in sharing best practices and innovative solutions that will further contribute to the country’s economic development.”

An industry report further estimates a growth of 2.3 percent this year, and 3.6 percent on average between 2023 and 2026, driven by investments from QNV 2030. Similarly, a new law governing public-private partnerships (PPPs) has been ratified by the government of Qatar, which is expected to attract more foreign direct investments to the nation. As a result, Qatar’s construction sector is expected to continue its growth trajectory, owing to the country’s commitment to becoming an advanced nation by 2030.

In order to support the evolving demands of the Qatari market and its customers, Project Qatar 2023 will also include new specialized zones and activities for attendees. New conference topics, certified training sessions, and workshops are to be introduced for the continued growth of all construction industry professionals in the country.

Project Qatar 2022 was a huge success with 300 exhibits, out of which 120 were international and came from 30 different countries. The previous edition also featured 23 local and foreign speakers, 11,000+ delegates, 5 conference sessions, 4 training sessions, and workshops led by certified trainers. The 19th iteration of the international conference is expected to further accomplish and accelerate the nation’s economic growth.
