CR Rental Acquires 50 Hyundai Machines

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe has delivered 50 machines to the rental company, CR Construction Rental GmbH, ranging from a 1-tonne mini excavator through to nine 52-tonne HX520 tracked excavators, as part of a key account partnership arranged between Christian Prüfer, Hyundai Head of Key Account Management and CR Construction Managing Director, Lukas Giancane.

CR Construction Rental is based in Urmitz, near Koblenz and offers a large equipment rental service in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. The company has aquired a 50-strong Hyundai fleet which also includes several HL975A CVT machines and HL980 wheel loaders.

CR Construction Rental Managing Director, Lukas Giancane, said: “We have put the machines through extensive testing and also interviewed operators from various companies to learn more about the technology, spare parts, nationwide service and perception from rental customers. We then weighed all of these factors before making our decision to invest in Hyundai.”

Direct Customer Contact

Christian Prüfer is the Head of Key Account Management at Hyundai. “It is important for us to have direct contact with major customers such as quarries, building material manufacturers and rental companies. The wealth of experience we gain is very important for the further development of the brand and its technology.

“We have to offer our major customers nationwide uniform hourly rates, fixed response times, and an exchange or replacement machine service. This is insight we gained during a long preparatory phase, and we are now launching full force.”

Civil Engineering and Earthworks focus

CR Rental is focused mainly on civil engineering and earthworks contractors, road construction, demolition companies and landscaping contractors. Lukas Giancane added: “Our fleet currently includes about 50 Hyundai machines plus over 50 pieces of other construction equipment up to 95-tonne excavators – so I consider us well equipped for earthworks and road construction projects of all sizes.

“We have put the machines through extensive testing and also interviewed operators from various companies to learn more about the technology, spare parts, nationwide service and perception from rental customers.” CR Construction Rental Managing Director, Lukas Giancane.

“We operate nationwide and service all construction trades that operate heavy earthmoving equipment, with excavators complete with monoblock or articulated booms to suit different job needs. All equipment comes with Oilquick quick couplers, and we have over 150 new attachments in our rental fleet, such as scrap shears, hydraulic hammers and demolition grapples. We also offer equipment rental with operator and heavy transport escort services.”

An integral part of Hyundai’s growth strategy is the direct servicing of major national and international customers, rental companies, consortiums and government agencies/institutions.
