John Deere Motor Grader Handed Over To HJA

John Deere Motor Grader Handed Over To HJA

The handover of a 622GP motor grader to the Aschendorf-based road construction and civil engineering company Hermann Jansen (HJA) marks the first time that Wirtgen Deutschland Vertriebs- und Service GmbH has sold a John Deere earth-moving machine in the Bremen, Emsland, Ammerland and East Frisia region of Germany. The new grader completed its first job in the spring of 2021.

First job in the Emsland region

HJA Straßen- und Tiefbauunternehmung GmbH & Co. KG can look back on 125 years in the road construction and civil engineering business. In addition to the new John Deere grader, the company’s own fleet also includes Vögele road pavers and Hamm rollers.

When HJA needed to acquire a more powerful grader in order to expand its range of applications, making use of the Wirtgen Group’s tried-and-tested sales network was an obvious choice. In addition to the new technologies offered by the John Deere grader, the outstanding and rapid support provided by Wirtgen Germany was an important argument in favour of the Aschendorf-based construction company’s decision.

“This is the largest grade in our fleet to date.” – Rainer Brunen (head of MTA at Jansen) and Daniel Palucki (managing director at Jansen)

Ideal for difficult terrain

After its first assignment on a construction site near Collinghorst in the East Frisia region, the HJA team is delighted. Thanks to its excellent traction, the machine easily handles even the most challenging terrain and adverse ground conditions. In addition, it has a small turning radius of just 7.21 meters (23.65 feet), which makes it easy to manoeuvre the machine even in the tightest of spaces.

The fact that John Deere also took the needs of the operator into account is something that grader operator Wilfried Schmees particularly appreciates. The easy-to-use controls meant he was able to quickly become familiar with the machine, and the spacious operator’s cabin offers excellent visibility.

“Working with the Wirtgen Group is always a great experience. We truly appreciate their outstanding application and solution expertise, as well as their excellent support.” – Rainer Brunen (head of MTA at Jansen) and Daniel Palucki (managing director at Jansen)
