Irish based company ROSS has recently sealed a deal with Hyundai Material Handling dealer, Masterlift Ireland for a significant quantity of plant and equipment.

The mighty 160D-9
The largest forklift truck in the new fleet is the mighty 16 tonne, 160D-9 diesel forklift which is designed for heavy-duty applications to move large, heavy material. The 160D-9 benefits from an electro-hydraulic tilting cabin system which allows trouble-free access to all main components and makes servicing of all powertrain components quick and easy. This machine is joined by a five-tonne Stage V 50DN-9VB diesel forklift which benefits from a 2.9L HMC D4CC diesel economic engine where fuel efficiency is increased by up to 33%. Fuel efficiency was obviously a high priority during the decision-making process for ROSS and choices were made in line with our environmental targets.
The 25/50-9U Series
There are also eight electric forklift trucks in the fleet, which will be working inside the project These include 2.5 tonne 25B-9U trucks, numerous 30B-9U three tonne trucks and 50B-9 five tonne machines. The Hyundai electric forklift trucks meet the same high-performance standards as the company’s diesel products regarding acceleration, speed control and load-lift abilities. The machines also offer a lower operating cost, along with zero emissions.
The 9U-Series features a fully separated electro-hydraulic steering unit. This brings added value to the next level by dramatically improving energy consumption and enhancing steering safety and stability. ‘As an added feature all machines were fitted Pedestrian Exclusion Zone lighting and warning beacon to help ensure the safety of our operators and persons working in the vicinity of the machines’ Fergus added.
Performance warranty
The feedback received from ROSS site management on the machines performance has been extremely positive so far “The machines are very reliable and efficient. Feedback from the drivers has been excellent. Adding these vehicles to our fleet has allowed us to offer an even superior service to our clients’.”
Fergus continued, “Masterlift also offer an operator training service on the Hyundai machines. This allowed us to have our team trained on site, we upskilled and retrained our workforce on the safety aspects of our new machines and how to get the very best performance from each machine’. The whole process was seamless and the service we have received from Yvonne and Masterlft has been first class.”
Hyundai has extended the standard powertrain warranty has been extended by 33%, from 3,000 to 4,000 hours (conditions apply). And the forklift standard warranty covers you for two years or 3,000 hours, whichever comes first.
