XCMG Delivers 100 AI-Powered Electric Mining Trucks

XCMG has delivered a historic fleet of 100 fully electric mining trucks — the ZNK95 model — to the Huaneng Yimin Open-Pit Coal Mine, marking the largest single deployment of electric mining trucks to date.

According to XCMG, these next-generation trucks are fully autonomous and 100% unmanned, operating through ultra-fast 5G-A connectivity. Leveraging advanced AI, the ZNK95 trucks operate on a smart cloud-network-vehicle collaborative system, enabling efficient and intelligent mining operations.

Each vehicle features rapid battery swap technology, allowing full battery replacement in under six minutes, ensuring seamless 24/7 operation. Engineered for resilience, the trucks can perform reliably even in extreme temperatures as low as -40°C.
