ABB E-Mobility Opens State-Of-The-Art Training Facility In Qatar

Last week, ABB E-mobility inaugurated a new state-of-the-art training facility in Qatar’s Umm Al Houl Free Zone. The new facility is the first of ABB E-mobility in the Middle East and Africa.

This is reflecting ABB E-mobility’s ongoing commitment to enhancing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the region. The facility will serve as a service and training hub, offering both theoretical and hands-on training in EV charging solutions for base, public, and destination charging:

“E-mobility is a very dynamic sector with fast innovation cycles, also in Qatar. Therefore, we are happy to bring more expertise to this region by training and educating university students, governmental entities, and private organizations here in our facilities. Together with our partners, our focused solutions approach and subject matter expertise, we have everything we need to support Qatar on its way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030”, says Florian Naegele, Chief Commercial Officer and President of EMEA at ABB E-mobility.

The opening of the facility which is linked to one of the two MoU’s ABB E-mobility has just signed with their partners Ashghal and Mowasalt. The opening as well as the agreements are another milestone to foster ABB E-mobility’s collaboration with local partners to accelerate Qatar’s transition to sustainable transportation.
