MAN Truck & Bus (MAN) has launched its versatile TGE vans in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion plans. The launch, held in Dubai in April, was carried out in partnership with Darwish bin Ahmed & Sons, MAN’s long-standing local importer with a 30-year history of bringing MAN trucks to the region.
The MAN TGE will be available in multiple configurations tailored to the UAE market, including station wagon, minibus, and ambulance versions—developed in collaboration with regional bodybuilders. Sales are set to begin in the third quarter of 2025, with the first deliveries expected by the end of the year.
This launch supports MAN’s ambitious target to sell over 30,000 TGEs globally in 2025, with the UAE playing a strategic role in reaching that goal. The company sees the region’s demand and commitment as crucial to its broader success in the light commercial vehicle segment.
The UAE isn’t MAN’s first foray into the Gulf region with its vans. In 2021, the company achieved a notable success in Qatar, delivering over 60 TGEs that were specially converted into premium VIP shuttles for transporting visitors during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Those same vehicles now operate as hotel shuttles across the country.
As MAN looks to grow its van business beyond European borders, the UAE launch represents just the beginning of a broader push into global markets. More regional rollouts are expected to follow, building on the momentum in the Middle East.
