Yanmar Turkey Expands And Opens New Office In Istanbul

YANMAR TURKEY MAKINE A.S. (YTM), a full Yanmar subsidiary since 2017, opened a new office in Istanbul, in addition to its Izmir office, to particularly manage the Energy and Industrial Engine business lines. Turkey is an important region for Yanmar to market its products and provide efficient, high-quality service to local OEMs. Yanmar Turkey serves customers with energy systems, industrial engines, agricultural equipment, and a sharing platform for construction equipment under the name of makinagetir.com.

Stage-V OEM support takes off

Mr. Efe Ulku, Business Unit Manager of YTM for industrial business, has created an expert team of professionals with a strong focus on the sales and marketing of industrial products:

“The new Yanmar office in Istanbul marks our ambition to establish a firm foothold in various business areas. One example is the flourishing energy business. There is a strong demand for high-regulated systems and associated support. Many Turkish OEMs are exporting power systems to the EU and US markets with strict Stage V or Tier4 emission requirements. Besides, from October 2022, Stage V is also mandatory for the Turkish home market, which opens up many new business opportunities.”

The industrial business line of Yanmar Turkey consists of high-quality pumps and welding machines and a wide range of industrial engines, which find their way into various applications, such as generators, backhoe loaders, excavators, tractors, tillers, forklifts, and compressors.

Rapid growth in energy solutions

Since its establishment, YTM has been very successful in its homeland and surrounding regions and has grown rapidly. Early 2022, Yanmar Turkey already took over the sales of engines and power solutions (portable diesel pumps and generators) from Cozum Makina, a long-term dealer who has developed the aftersales market in Turkey in the past decennia and will remain a master dealer for spare parts and responsible for the further development of the dealer network.

As an EPC contractor, (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), Yanmar Turkey provides project-based turnkey energy solutions for geothermal/solar/wind/biogas/biomass/gas turbine power plants. The company is also a valued supplier of cogeneration and trigeneration systems for efficient energy use to hospitals, factories, shopping centres, and end-to-end engineering services.
