Over 350 IVECO BUS CROSSWAYs For Delivery In Dakar

IVECO BUS and DAKAR DEM DIKK signed a contract for the delivery of 370 CROSSWAY units and a set of support services to contribute to the modernization of the transport offer in the Dakar metropolitan area and its suburbs.

With the delivery of the CROSSWAY units, DAKAR DEM DIKK’s ambition to offer an effective public transportation service that enables its passengers to be carried in the most comfortable and safe circumstances is perfectly aligned.

“We are delighted with this first contract in Senegal, which demonstrates IVECO BUS’s ability to offer mobility solutions that are perfectly adapted to local contexts. We are proud to support DAKAR DEM DIKK not only with our CROSSWAY models, but also to contribute with our training and support services to the local development of the skills and know-how essential to guarantee an excellent level of service for the vehicles,” said Gauthier Ricord, Head of Africa and Middle East Commercial Operations.

The CROSSWAY and CROSSWAY LE selected by DAKAR DEM DIKK will satisfy both passengers and drivers with their features. They are equipped with the 310-hp IVECO Cursor 8 Euro 3 engine known for its reliability and performance. The CROSSWAY models offer 55 seats while the Low Entry version can accommodate 34 seated and 72 standing passengers. They feature cataphoresis protection, 3-part front bumpers, UFR ramps, and air-suspended driver seats.

This first major success in Senegal with the CROSSWAY range is a new step in the development of IVECO BUS’s presence in Africa.
