Perkins Engines Company Limited has appointed Abhinav Gupta to the position of general sales manager for South Asia, replacing Pankaj Jha.
In this role, Abhinav will be responsible for Perkins brand engine sales to distributors and equipment manufacturers in India and across the South Asia region.
Abhinav joined the company in 2016 as regional marketing manager for South Asia, during which time he has provided strategic marketing leadership, and exhibited his abilities to deliver results and a strong customer focus.
His experience and knowledge of the region, customers and industry are ideally suited to the new role.
“I’m very excited to be appointed as general sales manager for South Asia, a role which enables me to continue to build upon the strong relationships with our distributors and customers, which have been so important in my position as regional marketing manager throughout the last six years.” said Abhinav.

Abhinav has over 21 years’ rich experience in the industry, developing and implementing winning business strategies across a range of disciplines including sales and marketing, international operations, project management and business development.
Having worked and travelled across different regions and cultures, Abhinav is adept with international business dynamics. He has a degree in engineering and completed a post graduate education in International Business and Management.
