Sandvik has been awarded a major order for a fleet of underground mining equipment from the Peruvian mining company Compañia de Minas Buenaventura (Buenaventura).
The order includes loaders and drills, which will be used at three of Buenaventura’s underground mines; El Brocal, Yumpag and Uchucchacua. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter 2025 and continue through the first quarter 2026. In addition to the equipment order, Sandvik will supply spare parts, components, and maintenance service during the lifetime of the equipment.
