Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA FZE (DCV MENA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Dietz as the new President and CEO, effective 1 April 2024. Michael succeeds Kay-Wolf Ahlden, who retired from Daimler Truck on 31 December 2023.

We would also like to thank Kay-Wolf Ahlden, for outstanding achievements and contributions to the organization. We wish him all the best for his retirement.”

Throughout his career, Michael has held various leadership positions in both markets and headquarters. He has previously led the Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks division and served as the Global Head of Marketing Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Since January 2020, Michael served as President and Group CEO at the Regional Center Southern Africa, where he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the DTSA Group of Companies and the development of the Daimler Truck Campus, including the new headquarters in Pretoria.

Kay-Wolf Ahlden has worked in the commercial vehicle industry for the last decades. He held various international assignments in Brazil, Argentina and took positions in Sales, Aftersales and Network Development for countries like USA, Canada, Belgium/Luxemburg and Southern Europe. He also headed the Regional Centers of Latina, South East Asia and Middle East, where he played a key role in expanding the performance of Daimler Truck in these markets.

During the interim period between 1 January and 31 March 2024, Sandro Ringeling, current CFO of DCV MENA will act as the interim CEO of Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA FZE, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership.
