Juffali Commercial Vehicles, one of the leading automotive distributors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has recently completed a significant deal with their customer, AMSteel. In this transaction, Juffali Commercial Vehicles handed over 100 Mercedes-Benz Actros 2042 trucks to AMSteel, reinforcing their strong partnership and further solidifying their position in the commercial vehicle industry.

By providing AMSteel with a fleet of top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz trucks, Juffali Commercial Vehicles aims to enhance AMSTEEL’s operational efficiency and contribute to their growth and success. “AMSteel is one of our key customers, a company which is growing year over year. We are so happy to be part of this success story,” said Heiko Schulze, MD at Juffali Commercial Vehicles.

AMSTEEL is a Saudi-owned corporation based in the King Abdullah port of KAEC (King Abdullah Economic City), specializing in port, transportation, and steel services. Thus, truck operations are a key component for AMSteel’s business.

AMSteel, a Saudi-owned corporation based in the King Abdullah Economic City, specializes in port, transportation, and steel services, making truck operations a critical aspect of their business. “We are handling more than 8 million tonnes from port to our warehouses, from warehouses to the customers, from customers to our warehouses and more to our port,” said Onur Yigiter, CEO at AMSteel.

“It is so important to have a trustable and reliable partner, with you to handle the challenges that we face,” added Yigiter. “Availability of spare parts, availability of service and availability of the units is very critical for our business.”

The Mercedes-Benz Actros has been a favorite of the Saudi market, due to their durability and reliability – necessary qualities to match the demanding conditions of region.

Three potent 6-cylinder in-line engines that meet the Euro V emission standard are available for the Actros: the 10.7 liter OM 470, the 12.8 liter OM 471, and the 15.6 liter OM 473. These engines are built for minimal fuel consumption, maximum lifetime, and excellent performance.

The assembly of the 4X2 Actros trucks took place in a facility operated by National Automobile Industries (NAI) in Jeddah, a joint venture between Juffali Commercial Vehicles and Daimler Truck AG.

The NAI facility has received the ISO-9001/2000 international quality certificates and is still expanding and developing to become one of the top Mercedes-Benz plants outside of Germany.

Juffali Commercial Vehicles and Daimler AG have a successful history that dates to 1974, when a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles and E.A. Juffali & Brothers established the NAI in Jeddah to assemble Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles locally in Saudi Arabia.

Juffali Commercial Vehicles is the sole agent and distributor for Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses in Saudi Arabia. The company recently became a distributor for FUSO vehicles and buses.
