JLG Industries delivered 40 new machines, including four JLG Ultra Booms, to Rapid Access, the Middle East’s largest supplier of powered access solutions and work at height training. This investment was a step in expanding and rejuvenating the Rapid Access fleet in the region.

According to George Majdalany, Rapid Access’ Finance Director, an order for 147 MEWPs, including the units supplied by JLG, was placed to meet the market’s growing demand for aerial equipment across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. “We recognise that markets are changing across the Middle East with KSA growing at pace in line with their Vision 2030,” said Majdalany. “KSA represents the highest value of projects awarded in 2021, and we want to ensure we can supply on demand as the market leader.”

Rapid Access operates from nine depot locations, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. Looking to differentiate its expanding fleet in the region, Ian Hume, JLG’s Sales Director in MEAIR, says that Rapid Access’ recent equipment purchase includes several large JLG MEWPs, including a 1500AJP – the world’s largest articulating boom lift and one of two in the UAE, as well as a 1200SJP and two 1250AJP Ultra Booms.

“JLG is very proud of our close relationship with Rapid Access, and with this most recent purchase, Rapid Access continues to drive the industry and market forward,” said Hume. “We anticipate strong demand for JLG machines within rental fleets over the coming 24 months, and I am sure Rapid Access will be at the forefront of this. We are especially excited to see another 1500AJP boom lift enter the market in the Middle East with Rapid Access in Saudi Arabia.”
