Capital Express is the first national company licensed by Abu Dhabi for intercity public transportation and operates under the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), now rebranded as Abu Dhabi Mobility.
Zhongtong, a renowned Chinese bus manufacturer with over 50 years of expertise, established its presence in the UAE market in 2000 through Swaidan Trading. As the official sales and after-sales provider for Zhongtong in the UAE, Swaidan Trading has played a crucial role in the brand’s growing success in the region. Zhongtong buses are recognised for their reliability, cost-effectiveness and technological advancements.
Custom-built to meet Capital Express’s exacting requirements and Abu Dhabi Mobility’s stringent standards, these Zhongtong buses will facilitate intercity operations, connecting Abu Dhabi with other emirates. Equipped for long-haul journeys, these Super Luxury Intercity Coaches are designed to cover approximately 30,000 km per month. They feature a robust 375 HP Cummins engine coupled with a ZF Ecolife 2 automatic transmission, ensuring optimal fuel efficiency and a smooth ride.
Internally, the coaches boast luxurious interiors with a customised colour scheme, enhancing the passenger experience. They feature reclining seats for maximum comfort, entertainment systems, mobile charging points at each seat, a coffee table, a refrigerator, mood lighting and an internationally acclaimed air suspension system for a seamless and comfortable journey.
