Hyva is launching a new Double Acting Telescopic (DA-T) front end cylinder in North America which will target applications on Snow and Ice trucks and Vacuum trucks.
Based on Hyva’s proven Alpha concept, these cylinders are lighter and deliver faster tipping due to the reduced surface area between tubes. Double hard chrome surfaces provide excellent corrosion resistance and increase operating life. The new cylinders are easy to service, with bottom plate removal and no ram nuts.

The new cylinder design has been validated by extensive laboratory tests – including lifetime, end of stroke, lift ring, retraction force, leakage, peak pressure, and salt spray. All cylinders are end-of-line tested in Hyva’s ISO 9001 certified factories.
The cylinders are available in three sizes (4.5”, 5.5” and 6.5”) and all body and chassis brackets are available. The range which includes twelve cylinders are interchangeable on current body designs and cylinder replacement.
