Diriyah Company has awarded a landmark $1.4 billion construction contract for the development of the Royal Diriyah Opera House. The project has been entrusted to a joint venture made up of El Seif Engineering Contracting Company (ESEC), China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), and Midmac Construction Company.
The Royal Diriyah Opera House will feature a main auditorium with a capacity of 2,000 people, positioning it as a major destination for world-class performances and cultural events. Once completed, the venue will be operated by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to enhance its cultural infrastructure and tourism appeal.
