NEOM Selects A Global Design Team For First Phase Of THE LINE Project

A collection of multinational design companies from Austria, the US, and the UK have been selected by Saudi project NEOM to collaborate on the first phase of The Line.

According to a statement from NEOM, the city’s core planning, design, and engineering for the first phase of The Line will be provided by the US firm Gensler, the UK firm Mott MacDonald, and the Austrian firm Delugan Meissl Associate Architects (DMAA).

According to NEOM, a group of architects will begin working on the planning and design of the neighborhoods in Phase 1 in early 2025.

With over 120 foundation piles being poured into the ground weekly at the construction site, NEOM stated that excavation work has begun on the first stages of infrastructure construction and facilitating development of the new city.
