Roshn Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading multi-asset class real estate developer and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) Company, has announced the groundbreaking of Almanar, its inaugural fully integrated 33,000-unit residential community in Makkah.
Almanar covers an expansive 21 million sq m with its design reflecting Roshn’s vision of creating human-centric developments that prioritise people’s needs, offering a sustainable and vibrant living environment seamlessly integrated with nature and expansive green spaces.

The groundbreaking was held under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah Region in the presence of Musad Aldaood, Mayor of Makkah; Eng Saleh Al-Rasheed, CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites; Eng Abdullah Al-Hammad, CEO of the General Real Estate Authority; Dr Khalid Johar, Acting CEO of Roshn Group, and other senior officials.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to explore the mock-up villas and discover the diverse residential typologies available within the community, signifying a pivotal achievement in the group’s mission to transform urban development and elevate the quality of life throughout the kingdom.
