A deal to explore construction of the ‘Dubai Loop’ transportation project has been inked by Elon Musk’s The Boring Company and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The Dubai Loop, a 17-kilometer subterranean transportation system with 11 stops, is expected to carry more than 20,000 passengers each hour.
The announcement of this collaboration was made during the World Governments Summit in Dubai.
The Dubai Loop is said to be comparable to the Las Vegas Loop, which transports people underground using autonomous vehicles and runs beneath the convention center.
