Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has brought the curtain down on the 18th International Roads Federation (IRF) World Meeting and Exhibition by arranging technical visits to key projects in the emirate. The gathering, which was hosted by Dubai and represented by the RTA, was held at the World Trade Centre from 7 to 9 November 2021 under the theme: Roads To Tomorrow.

The event was attended by more than 2,500 visitors and saw the participation of 250 speakers, experts, and specialists in the field of roads, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence from 60 countries.

The event discussed 150 papers tackling a variety of topics including key challenges and the pathway to the future of roads and smart mobility. Topics discussed included climate-resistant sidewalks, roads landscaping, mobility pricing, the latest technologies to support the infrastructure, and vehicle mobility. About 80 international companies and start-ups participated in the accompanying exhibition to showcase the latest technology trends, services and solutions related to roads.
